No, I am not kidding. I just took these pictures this afternoon of the boys out playing in the wet spring snow. Yesterday when we woke up it was raining, but by about 10:30 am it had turned to snow. It snowed all day yesterday and is still lightly snowing this morning. I cannot believe it!
I know that living in Woodland has some drawbacks, but seriously it is almost June! I've tried not to be to grouchy about the crappy weather that we have been having this spring, but I can no longer hold it back... I NEED SUMMER. Rick tried to comfort me last night and tell me that it would be hot soon enough so I should just enjoy the cold for now. I appreciate his efforts to make me feel better, but we both know that it will be snowing again in October, so in May I need warmth.
The boys were actually pretty excited to play in the snow, and it is nice wet snow so they could build a snowman and make snowballs and snow mountains. I guess I should follow their example and just think, "When life gives you snow, make a snowman."

I know I should not be, but I'm dying of laughter right now! I really cannot believe it!!!! So much for the perk test, right?
I guess I will not complain about it being 104 here!
;) I am laughting too, although I shouldn't...it's just so funny...shouldn't have left Vegas in such a hurry huh? :) if it makes you feel any better I was rethinking Vegas on monday when it was 108 degrees. Think of the bright side, instead of sweating to death when you are nursing that sweet baby boy you will still be able to cuddle him in some blankets! I see you are almost to the point when you can count the days now! I hope we get to see him when we come visit next month!
It sounds like Woodland weather is similar to Laramie Wyoming's! One year we were there we had a snow storm in June. I haven't seen snow in over a year and I have loved it! I am sad we have to leave Florida. I know my kids are looking forward to having snow again. I am hoping Maryland's winters will be mild.
We are excited to see pictures of the new baby! I wish we could be there to see him in person.
I think the weather is seriously confused this year! I completely agree with you. Every week I start to put away our winter clothes because the weather is so nice, and then I have to pull them out again! I am READY for the warm weather to stay. I hope you are feeling alright. You are almost there!
I believe it. I think that is why I had to post about the few days of spring that we have. Just think not some many phone calls living at the watermaster's house this summer. Everyone should be satisfied.
Those boys haven't been able to build a snow man for two years, so just sieze the moment; except when Noah takes off his snow boots and is walking around outside in his socks. Love the kid!
I love that attitude about life giving you snow and making snowmen. And I remember not that many years ago it snowed in the middle of June so lets just hope we don't have a repeat!
Remember my first year of going to girl's camp? It was Chelsea's fourth year hike, and they got snowed in! We didn't get to go camp, but stayed in the church houses. That was JUNE 23RD!
Also, this is the reason why I wanted an indoor reception on May 20th...you just never know in K-town.
WOW!!! I can't even think about snow right now. Duane and I were just talking about how summer is now upon us. The humidity has gotten twice as thick and the temperature has increase about 10 degrees. Unlike you, I am dreading the summer because it is so miserable, we're stuck inside! I guess when it's hot we want cold and when it's cold we want hot. Best wishes on your last three weeks, maybe you'll go early!
That some crazy amount of snow. I am so grateful to live in NV right now. Looks fun for kids though.
But...Noah loved being outside and getting to do just what he wanted to do! Hey, happy anniversary to you two! Love you and see you after we see the world! Don't you have Eli early... you MUST wait until I get home and clean the house and move the computer for your!
I can't believe it's been snowing! I'm sorry, Olivia! Making snowmen actually sounds fun to us but I can see how it would be deflating if you're already sick of seeing snow! Is the weather any better this week? We just had a little rain which was nice. How are you feeling? Are you counting down the days til you have insurance so you can sleep better? I need to find your phone number because I've been dying to call and talk to you. I hope you're feeling good and please call me when you have that sweet baby! I am really excited for you.
Hi Olivia, Jody (Rydalch) Harris here. I thought I'd leave a comment and not just stalk your blog. After seeing Allen and Patrice had their baby I had to stop by and see if you'd had yours. (I just knew your due dates were close.) I'm impressed you felt like tackling the kindergarten field trip this far along into your pregnancy. I struggled going on the 1st grade ones and I was the teacher! Anyway, I feel your pain over the weather and also wanted to tell you, you have adorable boys!
Yeah, Your baby is almost here... I'm getting so excited. We will actually be your neighbors if you stay with your parent's for a while. We are moving into my brothers cabin. We will have to invite you down when Steve gets the Mega Sandbox built.
Hi Olivia! I was so glad to get your reply. I've checked in every now and then on your blog :) Luke is such a sweetheart. I can't believe the snow, but Luke told me that snow was the one thing he was looking forward too. I'm sure he was very happy :) I'm so excited for you too...you have just a couple weeks for your new baby to be in your loving home. I bet your anxious to see him. Tell Luke I said hello and you'll be in our thoughts over here....labor will come all too soon...lol...
