Blah, blah, blah...blogging

I realize that is has been weeks since I last posted, but that is because I am feeling really BLAH about blogging lately. I think that feeling is getting round because I have noticed that most of you have dropped off in your updates too! Don't get me wrong, I still love to see what everyone else has been up to, I'm just not that in to doing it myself. So here is an attempt to get caught up (a little) and get myself excited about blogging again!

We had a really fun weekend on the 4th. We were able to have a little Gunnerson family reunion up at the cabin. We spent one afternoon at the rec. center, went to the Oakley parade, and just enjoyed being together (something we haven't done in over 2 years!). It was really fun to have everyone together again. Thanks for making the effort to be there. Even though 25 people in the cabin was a little cramped (and SOMEONE'S baby kept us awake all night ((yeah, that was Elijah)) it was a lot of fun!

Spending the 4th at the Cabin.

The whole Gunnerson gang and the Oakley parade.

Work has slowed down a little at the house while we try to finish roofing. What a project!!!! With 4 doormers, one gable, a garage, and the main house it has been quite complex. I told Rick the other night that we sure didn't pick a house that is easy to build. He assured me it would be worth it. We have been very lucky to have a lot of help from my brother, brother-in-law, and dad, as well as Rick's brothers. Thanks SOOOOO much to everyone! This week we will hopefully pass the 4-way inspection so we can get on to insulation and drywall.

Our summer has been really fun so far, but is going way too fast. There is still have a lot of fun to be had and hopefully I will feel a little more excited about blogging about it!

The boys trying out the tub in their bathroom.

Even Evan gets to have his turn out on the roof with his dad.

Rick, my dad, and Allen working on the roof.

Aside from a couple of rain-outs Luke had a really great baseball season. This year was coach pitch instead of t-ball, and Luke did great! He got some good hits every time up to bat.

I see a future in MLB, don't you?

Well I'm glad that despite your blah blah blah blogging attitude, you've finally given us something to see! I think that may be the best smile out of you and Luke both in a picture ever! Its such a good picture of your adorable fam! Hopefully the house will speed back up and you'll be in it before you know it.

The reunion looks and sounds like it was great. I can't believe they're family has been apart for that long! How great for them all to see each other!
I totally see a future MLBer out there, but I thought we were going to focus on other things?

I live right here (well, okay--I SLEEP here) and I need to see the pictures and see what is going on! The baseball pictures are so good -- I never even really got to be involved in that with any of the kids. You will love to look back and see the progress of the house.
The family reunion looks like it was a real success and it is definitely good to make the effort to get together. Even if the cabin was cramped, those are memories you will never forget and the cousins will always remember sleeping on the floor together!
Thanks for the update!

I love the family picture! And your house is coming along so quickly - I can't wait to see it.

I'll be in town for the rest of this week - I emailed you. Let me know what you're up to and hopefully we can get together!

Thanks for the update! I've been missing you on here! I know how you feel, though, I've been feeling the same. Cute family picture from the 4th! Luke looks like a real natural in baseball. (The pics made me want a boy even more - sports and missions, oh! :)Here's to still hoping...)

Thanks for the great update... I have some great memories at the Gunnerson cabin, not the least of which...
-Catching albino tout by the dozen
-Three-wheeling up to Mill Hollow
-Being the third wheel and fishing the days away while you guys were dating
-Figuring out that I was VERY attracted to Celeste while on a quadruple date/overnighter in AUG of 1997
-Snow-shoeing in to the very same cabin in JAN of 1998 and asking Celeste to marry me out behind the outhouse in 8 feet of snow (you could barely see the outhouse) to the tune of illegal Wyoming fireworks up in the sky... LOTS of great memories!

Well I love the update. Somehow I still am not motivated to update mine. Probably becuase I have nothing exciting going on and when I do...I don't have my camera with me. I love those boys and am very excited about your house. Yes it is definately worth the wait!

It was so nice to see you last weekend. I am sorry we weren't able to make it down to visit though. I hope that we can get together this next week when we come for our big vacation to Francis. Your house is going to be awesome! I am so excited for you guys!

Oh I am such a slacker. But in my defense, commenting from my phone isn't quite as fun as typing. I have finally given in because the only time I have to look at blogs lately has been in the car on the way to and from work!

What a fun summer! I love the house updates and can't wait to see it in person. Luke looks like a total pro out there! I think I did baseball one time and thought it was a blast.

I bet you had a lot of fun with the Gunners. Those memories are always some of the best, especially when it's been quite some time since you've all been together.

And as for blogging... I have all the motivation in the world, just no time. I thought when my class ended on Monday night I'd be able to finally catch up, but Celeste had her baby Wednesday, so I've yet to be home to do it yet. I will get there!!!!

Thanks for keeping us updated, it is hard to blog all the time, when life is going on around you. The boys are sooooo big, we miss you.

I posted more pictures for you Olivia. Sorry but I don't really have any with me in them. I have pretty much been living in my pjs so I just don't think to get IN any pictures. I'll make more of an effort for you and then get some up. We're blessing Annelise on Sunday so we should at least have some then. Man, I miss you!
